KCON LA 2024 Presented by Samsung Galaxy is back with another star-studded lineup for the nightly M COUNTDOWN shows. Saturday July 27th hosted Day 2 of the concert series.
KCON LA 2024 Presented by Samsung Galaxy is back for another year, which means another lineup of concerts. When convention closes for the day, the doors at the Crypto.com Arena open up for the nightly M COUNTDOWN concerts. Friday July 26th hosted the star-studded Day 1 lineup.
Fresh off of their rookie year, NMIXX embarked on their first solo showcase tour called NICE TO MIXX YOU. San Jose was the second stop of the North American leg of their tour.
It has been over 2 years ITZY last toured the states with their showcase tour, “ITZY? ITZY!” With a pandemic in the rearview, they are back with their first official world tour, “Checkmate.”
Hot off of the news of the whole group renewing their contracts, KARD has announced their latest world tour, Wild Kard 2022. With COVID restrictions loosening up, we’re seeing several groups taking to the road and touring again. For the North American leg, 11 stops were announced, including their visit to the San Jose Civic on August 24th, 2022.
It has been a little over two years since their “Ode to You” tour, which was cut short due to the pandemic. With Covid restrictions lifting in several parts of the globe, artists are taking to the road with world tours. Seventeen is one of those artists and they are back with their third world tour, “Be the Sun.”
Not too long after Covid and injury affected their tour, Stray Kids continued on as if nothing happened. It’s been a little bit under 3 years since they’ve been in the area and they are back with an impact. On July 12th, all 8 members of the South Korean boy group took to the stage in Oakland Arena, to a packed crowd. This marked the 4th stop on their Maniac World Tour to promote their mini-album, “Oddinary”.
KCON 2019 LA presented by Toyota, is 4 day long celebration of Korean culture. After the convention doors close on the final evening, excitement fills the air as ticket holders start to line up to fill the Staples Center for night of thrilling performances.
Recent Convention Reviews
KCON LA 2024 presented by Samsung Galaxy returned to the Los Angeles area between July 26 to 28 this year. The convention portion was held inside of the Los Angeles Convention Center and the Gilbert Lindsay Plaza. KCON continues to present multiple aspects of K-Culture to fans, both On and Offline.
KCON 2018 LA Presented by Toyota is a Korean Culture event that took place at the Los Angeles Convention Center, between August 10-12, 2018. Along with 3 nights of scheduled entertainment, including musical acts and martial arts, came a jam-packed convention.
Convention season is off to a strong start. Wondercon has grown in the past years, leaving their usual home in Anaheim and trying on Downtown Los Angeles for size. The new venue compensates for a lot. One hall is big enough to house all of the registration booths, autograph sign-ups, and even provides a resting area with convenient charging stations. Once you grab your pass, it is hard to figure out what to do first!
It’s another year, so time for another Stan Lee’s Comikaze. The ever-growing comic convention took place at the Los Angeles Convention Center for its 5th year. There was plenty to do over the 3 day span of the event, that it may be impossible to do everything! Perusing the convention floor alone can take up the whole weekend. Let’s take a look at what I was able to do for the weekend.

Following their first world tour in the United States back in 2023, SM girl group, aespa have returned with Synk: Parallel Line. Originally starting in Seoul mid-2024, the North American leg kicked off in 2025. The Oakland Arena hosted the group as their first visit to the Bay Area on January 30th, 2025.
