KCON LA 2024 Presented by Samsung Galaxy is back with another star-studded lineup for the nightly M COUNTDOWN shows. Saturday July 27th hosted Day 2 of the concert series.

The pre-show kicked things off with three more acts. Filipino girl group, BINI, showed off their vocal skills with a catchy dance song. POW followed things up with a bright rock song and a dance track of their own. CRAXY switched things up with a nostalgic hip-hop sound and a darker music-box-like song. Asiana Airlines returned to the stage to present their second raffle winner of the weekend with a trip to Korea.

An introductory VCR played to give a sneak peak of Day 2’s guest performers. Shortly after, NMIXX rose from below the stage to begin the main program for the night with a cold open. They performed “Dash”, a track that mixes old-school hip-hop with a pop bridge.

As NMIXX exited the stage, a figure lifted up from below the stage to reveal Day 2’s host, soloist JEON SOMI. After introducing us to what was to come and hyping the crowd, she went on to introduce the boy group, TWS. They opened up with the bright dance song, “If I’m S, Can You Be My N?” After a brief introduction, they continued on with the groovy hip-hop track, “Double Take.” To wrap up their stage, they performed the viral hit, “Plot Twist.” Before finishing the song, they broke formation to perform to fans in all directions.

Japanese survival show group, ME:I, was next on the stage. The 11 member group started off with their summer song, “Hi-Five.” The dance track, “Click” showed off their vocals, rap, and dance skills. This brought their set to an end, but it wouldn’t be the last time we saw them that night.

A new face took to the stage and it was none other than actress Park Minyoung to guest host. She told us a little bit about UNESCO and CJ Group’s efforts with Women’s Education around the world. She went on to introduce fellow actress and soloist, JO YURI. She started off with the bright rock song, “Love Shhh!” Lucky fans watching were treated to a cover of Taylor Swift’s “Cruel Summer.”

JEON SOMI appeared in the audience to introduce the next act. Dream Stage returned for Day 2, this time with boy group, ENHYPEN. After intense auditions earlier in the day, chosen lucky fans were featured to perform alongside the artist in this special stage. ENHYPEN took to the stage alongside the KCONers with, “Sweet Venom.” After performing, a group picture was taken and farewells were made between the fans and the group.

Boy group, P1Harmony, returned to the M COUNTDOWN stage after their appearance at Day 1. This time around, they started off with the dance song, “Doom Du Doom.” Before they took their exit, they got the whole arena jumping around with their dance song, “Jump.”

To pay homage to previous KCON artist, JUNG KOOK, members of TWS returned to the stage. This cover stage featured the groovy song, “3D.” These stages helped incorporate the legendary performers that took to this stage to the current.

NMIXX returned to the stage to supplement their earlier appearance. This time around, they started with the cabaret-like song, “Dice.” Next up, they brought a mix of country and pop with “Run for Roses.” To close out their stage, they made sure to let us know that their mics were on with the powerhouse, “Love Me Like This.”

Before introducing the next act, members of ENHYPEN returned as special hosts to connect with KCONers. Members of the audience brought out posters of their names written in Hangul for the special hosts to read out. Afterwards, it was time to introduce the legendary boy group, god. They made their presence known with the ballad, “Road.” They definitely impressed with their vocals. They went on to perform an uptempo ballad, “Lies.” The group took a moment to introduce themselves and talk to the audience. They were actually surprised at the reception of their performance with the fans. Before starting their next song, they called for the whole arena to stand up and dance along with, “Sky Blue Balloon.” The members were visiting all sides of the stage as they encouraged the crowd to keep dancing to their fan song. Before we knew it, it was time for the final song, “One Candle.” At their request, the whole arena waved their phone lights and cheer sticks to this gospel song, creating a legendary moment that you had to be there for.

Fans were not treated to only one, but two cover stages. It was ME:I’s turn to show off their charms with TWICE’s, “SET ME FREE.” This stage gave them the opportunity to show us a contrasting image to their other performances so far.

JEON SOMI appeared on stage to introduce the final performers, boy group ENHYPEN. After rising up from below the stage, things started off with the dark vibes of “XO.” Keeping with the darker tone, they went on to perform the vampire themed, “Bite Me.” Switching things up, they went with the flowing rhythms of “Fatal Trouble.” For their penultimate performance, they brightened things up with “Polaroid Love.” To finish out the night, they ended strong with the high-energy likes of “Paranormal.”

With the confetti cannons firing off, it was time to say goodbye again. All artists of the night returned to the stage to greet fans. As the artists exited the stage, Day 2 of M COUNTDOWN was complete.

Even after attending the Day 1 concert, the lineup for Day 2 was vastly different. Whether you attended for one specific group, or a multitude of them, there was definitely something here for everybody. From groups as season as god, to a group that debuted earlier this year, variety is the big word for these concerts.
