Kcon LA 2019 | M Countdown Concert - Day 2

 
 

KCON 2019 LA presented by Toyota, is 4 day long celebration of Korean culture. After the convention doors close on the final evening, excitement fills the air as ticket holders start to line up to fill the Staples Center for night of thrilling performances.

Before the main show kicked off, fans were greeted with a few things in the preshow. To wrap up a raffle that was going on all weekend, event organizers announced their grand prize winner live on stage. The grand price included a round trip to Korea. To warm up the stage, Jun, a former youtuber-now-artist took to the stage with two of his songs. Featured guests, Ellen and Brian provided support as backup dancers. To close things out, Cover Star K winners, Seoula, performed their cover dance.

 
 

Like Saturday’s concert, a few Dream Stages opened up the main show, but this time feature Stray Kids and N Flying. Stray Kids unit, 3racha came onto the stage with a self composed song. Afterwards, N Flying performed rock covers of Gogobebe and Dalla. To close out the Dream Stage, the groups performed together.

Hoshi and Vernon from Seventeen came out to introduce the next performers, boy group, Verivery. They started out with their latest single, Tag Tag Tag, a pop song with darker vibes. And to end off their set, they performed their debut single, Ring Ring Ring, a lighter song style.

 
 

Rookie girl group, Itzy, commanded the stage with their confidence. To kick things off, they performed their latest single, Icy, which was in fact filmed around parts of Los Angeles. To help charm the audience, they had a break segment that showed off their charms. They did aegyo, performed a cover of labelmate Got7, and even spoke a little english. To wrap up their set, they performed My Summer and debut single, Dalla.

N Flying came out to switch things up with live instruments. They came out explosive with the wildly popular Rooftop. To end their stage with a bang, they performed a medley of rock greats, Queen. Songs that were performed included: Rock You, Can’t Stop Me, and Bohemian Rhapsody.

Another special stage came out in the form of Mamamoo’s Solar performing Speechless from the recent Aladdin movie. Her amazing vocal skills got everyone cheering.

 
 

Returning for their second year, Fromis_9 came out to show why they deserved to return. They started off with their latest single, Fun. They then performed their disco feeling song, Love Rumpumpum. To end their set, they performed a wild remix of their song Love Bomb.

Stray Kidz made their KCON debut with a bang. They opened up with a dance intro. The group then performed their latest single, Side Effects. They proceeded to perform Victory Song. Miroh followed while hyping up the crowd. To cap off their stage, they ended with My Pace, a really electric song.

 
 

Before making their full stage appearance, Seventeen sent out a unit to perform their song Highlight. The stage featured a mix of singing, rap, and dancing amongst the 4 members. This helped give a glimpse of what is to come from the full group of 13.

Mamamoo came out to bring down the house with their impressive vocals and stage presence. They started out with Starry Night, a song with dreamy vibes. They followed up with Egotistic, a powerful song. The swag came with Decalcomanie. To wrap things up, they got everyone pumped up with Gogobebe.

 
 

To close out the night, Seventeen came out with all thirteen members. They had an explosive opener with their latest single, Hit, an uptempo dance track. To entertain the crowd a little, they played a little match pose game and then threw out free t-shirts. Proceeding with a more mature tone, they performed Good to Me. To get the crowd involved, they performed their rock anthem, Clap. Keeping up the energy and involvement, they performed Adore U. To leave a great impression, They performed the wildly popular Very Nice, with plenty of fakeout endings.

As always, all of the featured artists of the night came back out to greet fans one last time. With confetti cannons blanketing the floor level, the artists walked around the stage taking gifts from fans and maybe grabbing a phone along the way to film a surprise for some. This wraps it up for the concert line up of 2019. We can’t wait to see what’s in store for 2020.
