It’s that time of year, when we find out who has a chance at being a WWE World HeavyWeight Champion from a Money in the Bank Match. The card for this Pay-Per-View is thought to be the best MITB ever, but it may also be one of the best PPVs ever! I’ll be giving you my thoughts on some of my favorite matches of the night.

The Golden Truth vs Breezango
Winner: The Golden Truth

The Dudley Boyz vs Lucha Dragons
Winner: Lucha Dragons

WWE Tag Team Championship

Enzo & Cass vs The New Day vs Luke Gallows & Karl Anderson vs The Vaudevillains
Winner: The New Day

This was a fun match. Each team had their own characters at play here. We have The Club with their pure strength, Vaudevillains with their old style, Enzo and Cass with the New Hip Hop culture and The New Day with their antics. With three of the teams being new to the main roster, there were some points that was sloppy, but it was still fun, nonetheless. I wish the previous Nxt teams would have performed more high flying moves that they were known for. I also wished for Xavier to be a bigger role player for being the only team with a 3rd member. The New Day steal this one in the end.

Baron Corbin vs Dolph Ziggler
Winner: Baron Corbin

Natalya & Becky Lynch vs Charlotte & Dana
Winner: Charlotte & Dana

Apollo Crews vs Sheamus
Winner: Apollo Crews

John Cena vs Aj Styles
Winner: Aj Styles

Money in the Bank

Kevin Owens vs Alberto Del Rio vs Sammy Zayne vs Chris Jericho vs Cesaro vs Dean Ambrose
Winner: Dean Ambrose

This was probably my favorite match of the night. Apart from it being what the PPV was all about, it had 2 of my favorite current wrestlers: Cesaro and Dean Ambrose. There were so many highlights, that this would be an essay if I talked about them all, so let’s just stick to a few of my favorites.

Almost anything Cesaro does is always entertaining, because it’s always over the top. His moves are always very athletic as well. Uppercut train anybody? Flipping around all over the place? Entertainment gold!

The climax came at the time when they made a crazy set up out of the ladders. One ladder held two others in the form of a bridges along the turnbuckles. This created the stage of the last few battles between the 6 men. Some fighting on the main ladder, others on the bridges, it was madness! The end came when Owens and Ambrose were trading punches on top of the ladder. Owens eventually fell to his fate, leaving Dean to grab the briefcase, securing his opportunity to challenge for the Heavyweight Championship.

United States Championship

Titus O’Neil vs Rusev
Winner: Rusev

Heavyweight Championship

Seth Rollins vs Roman Reigns
Winner: Seth Rollins

Dean Ambrose cashes in Money in the Bank and becomes Heavyweight Champion

This match was one for the ages. One of the biggest grudge matches was taking place, 2 former brothers of the SHIELD, and soon the 3rd as well. Roman and Seth are arguably two of the best wrestlers in the WWE at the moment. After an arduous match between 2 power houses, Seth delivered the Pedigree twice and was crowned WWE World Heavyweight Champion. Short after his celebration, Dean runs down the ramp to cash in his MITB contract. After Dirty Deeds, Seth was pinned and Dean literally stole the Championship.

Overall, this was a great PPV. There were some “Random” matches, in my opinion, but some of the highlight matches made it all worth it. I wonder how long Dean can hold the title and what kind of run he gets.
