Every championship title on Raw is at stake. Feuds have led up to this point. Who will come out on top for Raw’s first brand exclusive PPV? I’ll be sharing a few of my favorite matches from the night.

Raw Tag Team Championship

Luke Gallows & Karl Anderson vs The New Day

Winner: The New Day

The New Day has held onto the Raw Tag Team Championships for some time now. The Club is probably the most active faction out for The New Day. They’ve had many bouts up until now, but it just seems that they’re unable to take the titles. This match is no different.

The Club was strong right out of the gate. It seemed very one-sided early on. They were even able to handle Xavier on the outside of the ring at one point. It was looking like The Club was on their way to snatching the belts off of the champions until the number game was played. The biggest turning point was when Xavier interfered with trombone strike. Kofi and Big E was able to apply some finishing maneuvers for the title defense. It may not have been a clean victory, but that does contribute to how they’ve held the titles for so long.

Raw Women’s Championship

Sasha Banks vs Charlotte vs Bayley

Winner: Charlotte

After recent speculation of a double pin, Bayley was inserted into the Championship match to make it a Triple Threat Match. Having the new girl in the ring with one of the biggest feuds of this era may have it’s effect, and for this match, it sure does.

There are pretty much no sides to the match, aside from Charlotte and Dana. For these circumstances, the Champ’s lackey does play a role. Early on, she does interfere and mess with the challengers, because of Triple Threat, there are no disqualifications. Soon, the match ended up being mainly Sasha and Charlotte, with Bayley running in from time to time. Charlotte definitely played to Sasha’s back injury and targeted it for most of the match. It was near the end when a series of back-and-forths led Charlotte to the pin on Bayley.

United States Championship

Rusev vs Roman Reigns

Winner: Roman Reigns

Kevin Owens Applying a Submission to Seth Rollins

WWE Universal Championship

Seth Rollins vs Kevin Owens

Winner: Kevin Owens

After many weeks of the KO and Seth feud, it all ends here, for the Universal Championship. It’s been quite a show in and outside of the ring equally. It seems like the Authority is starting to take the reigns on the show again, with KO replacing Seth as their star. This was definitely a clash between two people’s champs.

KO seemed dominant from the get-go. He was targeting Seth’s recently repaired knee. Early on, KO set up an announce table for someone to go through, but to his surprise, he was the one who ended going. It wasn’t too long until his best friend, Chris Jericho, came out to help. This ended up in a knocked out referee and an unofficial 15-count from the crowd. Stephanie was able to bring out a backup ref after a trade of finishers, leading to a Kevin Owens Win. Was this done on purpose? At this point, we may never know.

Overall, this was an okay PPV. Other than the United States Championship, the status quo stayed the same. Well, Roman Reigns getting the championship sort of gets back to that. The Best of 7 Series had an unfavorable outcome, unique, but unfavorable. There was some sloppy wrestling that had me concerned. Whether it was from Jericho not really able to lift his opponent, Cesaro’s suicide dive, or KO’s top rope stunt that led to Seth’s new injury. Maybe we can expect some televised title changes? We’ll just have to wait and see how things turn out.
