Thief of Thieves (2012) Vol. 1 TPB Review

Can you steal from thieves?

Conrad Paulson leads a double life as a thief named Redmond. He is one of the most notorious theives in the game right now. His son is also in the business and was recently caught. It’s up to Conrad to assume the Redmond mantle to bail him out of his situation. How does he do it? Let’s find out in my review of Thief of Thieves Vol. 1.

Conrad Paulson is trying to leave his life of crime to start over with his divorced wife and son, but he keeps getting pulled back in. Upon hearing of the incarceration of his son, Conrad must find a way to bail him out. Along the way we learn about the proposal to his previous wife, the loss of her brother in a robbery, and how their son got into the life of crime. It really seems that the fruit doesn’t fall far from the tree.

This book really helps change up the genre for me, because it isn’t about super heros. The overarching story about Conrad bailing his son out of jail reminded me of Ocean’s 11. It was a very clever procedure that I don’t want to really spoil. If you liked that movie, you’ll definitely like this book! The art is also done very well. Check out this book!
